A visit to Noto Antica on the Alveria Mountain is a wonderful mixture of nature, history and archeology. This experience will convey the strong romantic feeling of early nineteenth century archeological discoveries as we visit the ruins of Noto, destroyed by the 1693 earthquake, now immersed in the wild nature of the mountain alongside ancient necropolis. The valleys surrounding the areas have the typical flora of the Iblei Mountains with wild oregano, thyme, sage. The panorama is breathtaking as you can see the seaside on one side, and, on a clear day, mountain Etna on the other side.
