In her beautifully restored family home, right in the historical city centre of Modica, Katia Amore welcomes travelers and guides them through the wonderful and varied Sicilian cuisine with hands-on, relaxed courses, continuing her gourmet family tradition that spans generations.

loveSicily organises set-date, week-long cookery holidays in South-East Sicily (see sample itinerary), as well as tailormade cookery holidays that can be as short as a single day or as long as a whole week.

Our cookery school in Sicily and accommodation are in the beautiful city of Modica - a Unesco World Heritage site with a rich culinary tradition and wonderful baroque architecture.

When not in the kitchen, or simply relaxing on the terazza offering amazing views of Modica, we explore the surrounding area and meet with some of the best producers of wine, olive oil and the famous Modica chocolate.

Staying on after the cookery holiday...?

Over the years we have put together (and keep updating) a restricted and select list of Sicilian hotels.

These are locations that we have used ourselves and feel we can suggest to guests of our cookery school as places they can use to continue their holidays in Sicily.

They range from excellent 3-star hotels to unique boutique 4-star hotels, agriturismo in Sicily, wineries in Sicily, bed and breakfasts and self-catering accommodation in Sicily.

Some of these hotels in Sicily can be booked directly via our website. There are no upfront fees and payment is directly with the hotel. Cancellation is usually possible with no charge until 1 day before arrival although it is best to check individual cancellation policies for variations to this.

Some hotels (especially the smaller ones) do not have online availability facilities. In this case you will see a form to fill in with your request on the hotel page and we will forward that request straight to the hotel so that you can complete the booking.
