We created a space where learning about Sicilian food can be fun, inspiring and relaxing.

We combine visits to nearby towns, producers and the countryside with relaxed, hands-on courses in the kitchen. Click here to see our set-date cookery week itinerary and click here to see available course dates.

Location & Accommodation

Accommodation is available within the school, which is located in the old baroque city of Modica, about 1h20m from Catania International Airport.
It offers a great base for exploring South-East Sicily with Siracusa, Noto, Ragusa Ibla and great wineries within easy reach. Modica itself offers a wealth of restaurants, bars and shops.

The Kitchen

A large, comfortable and warm space - ideal for creating food. These are cookery lessons with a glass of wine, interesting conversation and a friendly atmosphere. No need to worry about taking notes (we give you all the recipes at the end) and no distant teachers talking into a microphone. Food for us is a social activity - you create it with others and for others.

The Teacher

Katia Amore will be your teacher throughout the courses - she was born and grew up in Modica, spending countless hours in the kitchen with her grandmother, mother and aunts. Many of the recipes she prepares at the cookery school are directly taken from notebooks Katia's grandmother kept.
