Spring is here

You know spring is well and truly here when you've had your first granita or, as is the case with the picture, cremolata. We talked about the traditional coffee or mandorla tostata granita in the past, and gave a quick and easy recipe to reproduce something similar at home.

 

The one in the picture is a "cremolata di fragoline di bosco", and throwing all caution to the wind I nodded when they asked "con panna? (with cream)". And I am not joking about the caution part - the cremolata was the "break" before visiting Eurochocolate in downtown Modica (literally downtown since its Modica Bassa (Low Modica). So in all, loveSicily is going to get increasingly sweeter over the next week or so!
