Madonna del Carmine in New Jersey

Yesterday it was the day of the Madonna del Carmine and in many towns in Sicily people are now working to prepare the processions that will take place this coming Sunday.
In the afternoon, I was talking to Daniel Rosati of La Villa Cucina over the phone and two minutes after we said goodbye he sent me this fantastic picture saying "soon after our conversation a procession went by my home...today is the Festa della Madonna del Carmine!". I am always amazed about the strong link the Italo-American community maintains strong ties with Italy and its traditions. Thanks Daniel!
