Barocco Slow

From the 27th of December to the 3rd of January the region of Ragusa is in Slow-mode. The formidable Slow Food organisation is organising a week of events celebrating the gastronomic delights that the region has to offer. There are special events focusing on the themes of wine, cheese, olive oil, fish, wheat and bread, fruit and vegetables, and chocolate.

New Year's eve will be celebrated in what used to be the fish market of Comiso, but there are events in all the main cities of the province. You can find out more on the website dedicated to the event called Barocco Slow.

In what is undoubtetly a tough circumstance for us we will not be there! This Christmas we are in Cyprus (our other island home) enjoying melomakarouna and kourapiethes rather than canoli and aranciata. However, we are sure that we will get all the news from the various producers that will undoubtetly take part and we will keep you all updated.
